The proceedings of Captain Sir John Franklin’s, RN, Arctic expedition after the ships were last seen in July 1845, while largely speculated, are mostly unknown. The few sources and information we do have are limited, including oral testemonies of the local Netsilik and artifacts like the Victory Point Note found in 1859.
